I am pleased to inform you that as of June 1, 1998, the P-19 ARFF Vehicle that was transferred to the City of Kenosha Fire Department became fully operational. With the full support of Fire Administration, our Maintenance and Training Divisions were able to complete the needed modifications and upgrades to the apparatus two months ahead of schedule. We were able to perform all work agenda items in-house and did not have to use parts or expertise from the original manufacturer. Currently, the personnel of Fire Station 7, which is located at the Kenosha Regional Airport, are completing their training on the apparatus. By attaining this vehicle with the assistance of your office, we were able to save over $230,000 from the cost of a new one.
